The Burlington operation in Raeford, NC has been proudly producing dress uniform fabric for the US Military for more than 50 years.

Position Overview As Quality Improvement Manager, you will be responsible for leading quality management and improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing operation focused on meeting product specifications, customer requirements and cost objectives.

You will utilize PDCA process to identify quality improvement opportunities, determine root causes and develop and apply corrective actions.

Primary Responsibilities
· Work closely with Division Quality Manager and manufacturing areas to monitor product quality and quickly react to quality indicators or off quality production.

· Initiate and maintain a proactive approach to monitoring quality data and trends to ensure consistent and accurate production processes.

· Develop, implement and document standard work and operating procedures related to machinery specifications and process settings to ensure consistent manufacturing and quality of products is maintained throughout the operations.

· Monitor all quality performance indicators and direct activities related to producing first quality products.

Monitor and actively address out of flow issues.

· Work with process improvement, CI, manufacturing and training to establish and communicate stand work practices.

· Research quality concerns and participate as needed with customer communications and resolution.

Position Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in operations, engineering, or textile-related specialty or equivalent successful work experience.

· 3+ years of successful experience in manufacturing or quality related work.

Knowledge of textile manufacturing a plus.

· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, across all levels of employee and management.

· Comprehensive knowledge of quality metrics and standard work processes.

Ability to work across manufacturing and process improvement to establish key processes, metrics and standard work.

· Ability to monitor, track and interpret data and analyze to identify trends and operational areas of opportunity.

· Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills.

· Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
