Quality Assurance Manager

Collins Aerospace

This is a Full-time position in Charlotte, NC posted November 24, 2021.

This position manages Quality Assurance processes and / or projects as an individual contributor on the Additive Design and Manufacturing (ADaM) team.

The employee will work to achieve objectives that have a major impact on the ADaM quality goals.

The team member will also use their expertise to provide input on processes, standards, and plans to continuously improve quality.

This individual must sit onsite in Monroe, NC.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements product and program quality plans and procedures for both Singapore and Monroe AM facilities
  • Provides production process analysis, ensuring quality standards are met and makes recommendations for key quality improvements leading to AS9100 certification and NADCAP accreditation.
  • Analyzes and makes recommendations for the implementation of Quality Assurance plans, guidelines, policies, and processes to ensure the achievement of Quality targets.
  • Manages projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving.
  • Manages collection and analysis of quality information from multiple sources for the development of quality strategy and programs.
  • Reviews quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.

    In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be a U.S.

    Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

  • Must be willing and able to travel 25% of the time (domestic & international)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing a quality management system
  • Experience with Additive Manufacturing
