Information Systems Test and QA Manager will be taking full accountability for End-to-End Quality Assurance (QA) testing for North America Transformation (NAM T) program delivery. The QA Manager plays a vital role in driving the successful execution of project with defect management, KPI’s across all connected systems like SAP/ERP, Integration, Data, and front-end applications.

Reporting to the Head of IS NAM Transformation Manager, Coordinating with cross-functional teams, collaborating and successfully implementing the QA testing methodologies for the program delivery.

Your responsibilities

  • Is accountable to set and drive QA test management for the transformation program
  • Work with cross-functional teams to drive quality forward on multiple simultaneous strategic initiatives part of the transformation program
  • Will be instrumental in creating QA strategies surrounding QA Testing, vendor resource engagement, automation, and QA overall improvements.
  • Develop and contemporize overall testing tools and mechanisms to drive transparency and efficiency through out testing cycles enabling automated timely reports and trackers
  • Will collaborate with project teams, technical teams, business functional process owners to build the defect management dashboards to address QA project aspects
  • Accountable to drive the daily conversations around QA project deliverables, and tracking towards entry and exit criteria for successful deliver of the project on time
  • Expect to work as independent leader in driving cross-functional collaborations to development standard best practices around QA/test management for very large sized programs
  • Accountable to build effective relationship across business/functional process owners, IT and vendor teams to deliver the positive outcomes in the QA management
  • Take the lead to coordinate across cross-functions like Infrastructure, platform, front-end, integration teams to ensure clear landscape connectivity exist for each testing cycles. (IT, SIT, UAT and Dry-run testing)
  • Work to develop the complete roaster of IS SME, IS Technical team, Program Functional and business testers to support technical and functional testing

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other relevant subject area with minimum 5 years of direct relevant work experience in project management, QA/test management.
  • Deep understanding of quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices including excellent problem solving and analysis skills to raises issues, offers options, collaborate with key stakeholders, and make recommendations.
  • Experience working effectively within cross-functional globally distributed teams in a collaborative and geo-graphically disbursed environment and communicate using virtual communication tools (phone, conferencing, online meeting).
  • Ability to provide accurate effort and resource estimates based on project specific documentation is essential.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with management, technical peers, and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive business relationships and influence collaboratively across IT and Business/functional process owners
  • Learning agility and curiosity needed to pro-actively learn new technologies and apply these capabilities to solve different technical problems
  • Ability to operate in a transforming, fast-paced, complex, high visibility support environment with multiple, competing priorities
  • Previous experience in global manufacturing environments, vendor management, test automation, lab management, and SAP a plus
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
