Plant Manager


This is a Full-time position in Mocksville, NC posted October 24, 2021.

Amarr is hiring a hands-on, experienced Plant Manager to join our team in Mocksville, NC.

The incumbent will provide overall site and P&L ownership for the operation, including hands-on leadership of Operational Excellence, which drives Continuous Improvement throughout the value stream.

KPI’s such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost must be measured and improved as a key component to satisfy our stakeholders and drive growth in the business.

This person will report directly to the VP of Manufacturing and play a key role in creating a vision and establishing strategy to improve the business over a 3-year period.

In this position you will:

  • Account for daily execution of company defined program processes.

  • Monitor measurements against budget, and/or targets of key performance metrics.

  • Review cost of operations and enhance profitability of Door Center, including sales calls.

  • Provide excellent, courteous customer service.

  • Staff, develop, supervise, and direct all exempt Door Center personnel, and hourly office staff.

  • Oversee and verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise, and keeping of warehouse inventory.

  • Ensure that corporate programs regarding safety, security, care of equipment, and facility are enforced; thereby guaranteeing OSHA compliance.

  • Effect change to achieve weekly inventory, scrap, and damage goal

Working conditions and experience:

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.


  • Bachelors degree with 10+ years working in manufacturing.

  • 5+ year experience leading manufacturing teams of more than 50 people with tangible results.

  • Strong knowledge and practitioner of Lean, experience leading change.

  • Good communicator, exhibits energy and shows sense of urgency.

  • Skilled with the entire Microsoft suite of offerings including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, etc.
