Van Driver – $11.10/hr to $13.56/hr

Position Summary:

An employee in this class is responsible for the transportation of participants who utilize WNC
Source programs like medical, employment, meal-site, and shopping, as well as other inter-
agency programs as assigned. Work is performed under direct supervision. Annual performance reviews evaluate punctuality, accurate submission of records, safety and the general feedback of passengers/clients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

– Drives van according to assigned weekly schedules
– Inspects assigned/available vehicles to ensure safety of passengers/vehicle
– Assists passengers on and off vehicles and with packages as needed
– Prepares transportation related reports such as inspection, mileage and time sheets
– Works closely with office staff and other drivers
– Completes annual training required by the FTA, NCDOT and WNC Source
– Performs related duties as assigned.

High School Diploma/GED

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years driving experience
