Position Title: Yard Formwork Coordinator
Location: Davidson, NC
Salary Interval: Salaried, Non Exempt

Position Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Yard Formwork Coordinator must work safely and productively on various sized project sites and at other company facilities. A successful candidate in this role must be highly motivated and willing to complete any task assigned, along with performing the essential duties of Yard Formwork Coordinator position. All employees are expected to communicate, always build relationships with other team members and use good judgment. The Warehouse Associate is expected to have the ability to perform all duties of the positions preceding it in its specific career path, while being responsible and accountable to complete any other tasks assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Work in a safe manner, recognize and correct yard hazards, and comply with WBH safety requirements
  • Serve as a safe and productive member of Preferred Construction Supply
  • Develop and maintain strong relationship / rapport with Logistic Supervisor and Warehouse Coordinator
  • Ensure that materials, either returned from WBI jobs or new stock inventory, are promptly sorted and put in their designated areas on the yard
  • Distribution of products / materials – receive requests, pull and stage materials and ensure that all loads are banded, etc. and ready for safe transport or pick up
  • Formwork Requests – Receive all Meva formwork requests, pull and stage for safe transport. Load out formwork. Communicate with asset support for billings.
  • Formwork Returns – Unload and inventory Meva formwork. Take record of missing formwork and communicate with WBI job contacts to reconcile. Communicate with asset support to take off rent and bill for missing pieces.
  • As necessary, clean / repair the Meva formwork
  • Conduct product inventory cycle counts and reconcile with inventory system. / Coordinate with Warehouse Coordinator
  • Maintain the yard and formwork storage areas in a neat, clean physical condition and label areas as appropriate
  • Maintain the yard inbound and out bound areas by keeping them organized and current, etc.
  • Supervise any/all Warehouse Associates that may come to assist with work at the yard or formwork storage areas
  • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned
  • Performs all assigned tasks, responsibilities, and related work processes in the safest possible manner, always ensuring that a safe, accident/incident-free work environment is maintained for all coworkers, clients, suppliers, etc. at all times.

Position Requirements

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma / GED – required
  • Supervision experience – 3-5 years required
  • Equipment training / experience – required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Excellent interpersonal communication, customer service and leadership skills
  • Intelligent, thinks logically and critically
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills
  • Make sound decisions, problem solve, prioritize assignments
  • People supervision skills, including the ability to lead and motivate others, delegate work and explain ideas
  • Technical skills, particularly database management and spreadsheets
  • Ability to work under and meet deadlines
  • Computer skills (typing, email, Internet, MS Office / Excel) – required

  • All-terrain material handler certification – required when offered by Wayne Brothers
  • Aerial lift certification – required when offered by Wayne Brothers
