Full Charge Bookkeeper

Accentuate Staffing is assisting our client in Cary in recruiting for a Bookkeeper. This is a fulltime opportunity with solid benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable data entry and processing
  • Maintaining the general ledger including preparing entries and reconciling accounts in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Participating in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including bank reconciliations, journal entries and accruals
  • Maintaining files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policies, GAAP, and IRS regulations
  • Ad hoc analyses and reporting as needed
  • Other administrative functions as needed

Requirements:

  • Comfortable with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; highly organized; detail oriented; strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • 3+ years Accounting clerical experience
  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting preferred

Job Requirements:

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts
  • Manage all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Maintain monthly accounts payable journal
  • Maintain accounts payable and receivable records
  • Account receivable and accounts payable duties
  • Generate various accounts payable reports
  • Perform basic accounts payable duties
  • Maintain communication with accounts payable, accounts receivable and vendors
  • Perform backup duties for accounts payable and accounts
  • Create checks for approved accounts payable to ensure accounts
  • Issuing checks and accounts payable processes
  • Reconcile accounts receivable and send out invoices
  • Reconciling accounts payable and receivable accounts, tracking and recording payments and deposits
  • Perform accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, clerical and data entry
  • Analyze monthly accounts payable report against actual statements
  • Account receivable accounts to the general ledger
  • Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and collections
  • Generating invoices to customer accounts
  • Maintain general ledger account by reconciling accounts receivable detail and control accounts
  • Oversee the bookkeeping function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
