We are seeking an analytics scientist with a passion for utilizing rigorous data science approaches to help transform our Seeds product development pipeline through enhanced analytics.

As a Field Analytics Scientist you will work collaboratively on building and deploying industry-leading statistical, experimental design and biometric capabilities to improve decision making for Syngenta Seeds Research and Development.

The ideal candidate will use their practical knowledge and experience in data analytics, mathematics, biometrics and statistics to work collaboratively in an innovative team to revolutionize our development pipeline and enable data-driven decision making.nnnnAccountabilities:nnPlay a major role in defining, designing and enhancing our experimental designs and analyses for our field trial experiments that support our global seeds businessAssist in modernizing our field trialing system by utilizing phenomics, sensor data and spatial analyses to gain insights and enhance decision makingModel complex problems, discover insights, and identify opportunities through the use of statistical, algorithmic, and visualization techniquesProvide fit-for-purpose statistics and data analytics supportLearn and understand the Seeds Development pipeline and operations, associated data and key decisions in order to recognize opportunities for enhancing our development pipelineIdentify data needs; comfortable pre-processing and wrangling large datasetsWork with Seeds R&D stakeholders in communicating analytical results to develop enhancement opportunities, share key learnings and contribute to technical training offerings to support implementation of innovative approachesPh.D.
