Desktop Administrator


This is a Contract position in Charlotte, NC posted September 26, 2021.

Organizational Imperatives: Technical expertise in planning and developing high quality and highly functional end-user devices.

Technical expertise in planning, deploying, and testing end-user hardware and software.

Maintain, upgrade, and administer organizational software, hardware, and desk phones.

Critical Job Duties and Responsibilities: Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex issues with Windows 10 in an Enterprise Active Directory environment Administer user and workstation accounts in various systems including Active Directory, Office365, HCM, Okta, Kronos, and Azure AD.

Install, maintain, and support PC infrastructure including hardware and software.

Assist customers with hardware and software problems and requests.

Asset management including purchasing IT hardware, software, and equipment through third-party vendors.

Install, maintain, and support of third-party applications through Azure Intune and PDQ.

Manage and maintain MDM environment.

Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.

Ability to conduct and direct research of IT issues.

Effectively document all processes and update current technical articles.

Physical Requirements: Required to sit for long periods of time with limited physical exertion.

Use of standard office equipment in typical office environment/conditions.

Ability to use close and distance vision to focus on computer screen for most of the workday.

Ability to bend, lift, twist, pull and push boxes and/or equipment to perform duties related to handling and set up of computer hardware, servers, etc.

Additional Technical Skill Requirements Strong Technical knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Professional Suite, O365 services Knowledge of Active Directory in a hybrid environment.

PowerShell Scripting automation knowledge preferred.

Knowledge of IT Security concepts and practice as they relate to servers and desktops Basic knowledge of Cloud hosting, computing, and storage solutions (AWS, Azure etc.) Familiarity with networking concepts.

Qualifications: 2-5 years’ experience BS or Equivalent CompTIA A CompTIA Network preferred Work Environment: This is a full-time position with normal work week of Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m.

through 5:00 p.m.

with some flexibility allowed based on department needs and approval of management.

This is a non-exempt level position requiring the ability to work varied hours to accommodate operational needs and requires the use of independent judgment and discretion in decision making consistent with FHI’s Purpose, Vision and Values.
