Butterball: 1st Processing Production Trainer – Day Shift


This is a Full-time position in Kinston, NC posted September 27, 2021.

Position Summary:Production Trainers provide on the job training to teach production associates the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be successful employees of Butterball LLC.

Trainers act as mentors to associates and provide guidance and support.Essential Duties, Functions and responsibilities:Follow up on classroom training regarding Job Hazards, PPE, and Food SafetyReview and explain job instruction training to new associatesWork with team lead and supervisor to ensure associates can perform their job task correctly and safelyProvide job improvement training for current associatesHelp with Production department projectsCommunicate with Department Superintendent regarding daily work schedule as well as departmental needsResponsible for notifying Department Superintendent when corrections are necessary for OJT/JSAAny other duties assigned by Department ManagerTrain on the following subjects; Food Safety/GMP s/Food DefenseEvacuationGood Manufacturing PracticesProper use of PPEErgonomics and Stretching exercises to relieve muscle fatigue.Knife & Scissor SharpeningNail CareAir Shears operationYieldsSafety Topic Awareness: Lock Out Tag Out, HAZCOM, EAP, PSM/RMP, Confined Space, PPE, Hearing Conservation, Ergonomic and Safe lifting, Blood Bourne PathogenKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledgeable of all departmental jobs (online and off line) with the ability to describe and perform all line tasks at line speed.Knowledgeable in all OJT/JSA for the departmentKnowledgeable in OJT/JSA review process and OJT/JSA sign offFamiliar with all equipment operationPhysical Requirements:Standing 8 10 hours per dayLifting up to 50 lbsPossible bending, stooping, twisting, and squatting.Repetitive hand intensive task, tight gripping, grasping, pinching, and pulling required.Working Conditions/Department Description:Work in damp and cold environmentWork with loud and noisy machineryWork with chemical or FumesDay shift working hours 7:00AM to 3:30PMEvening shift working hours 3:30PM to 1:30AM
