Job Summary: Lead Tech works with Computer Technicians, System Analysts, and Network Analysts to develop procedures and standards that ensure end-users have a positive experience with provided solutions. Additionally, the Lead Tech provides guidance in the deployment and use of end-user solutions. This guidance includes changes in the computing environment that has an impact on users, workstations, mobile devices, software, applications, and delivered solutions. The Lead Tech develops scripts, systems, and processes to automate software deployment, to include, Active Directory policy development and deployment. This position will manage systems and servers related to the activities of the position and will serve as a backup to other team members. Managed systems include virtual server technologies (workstations and servers) used in the delivery of end-user solutions. Qualified candidates must possess a passion for learning, always seeking new methods to improve systems and processes. Minimum Requirements: Two years as a computer tech. Associate’s degree in Computer Science field required, 4 year degree preferred. Skills required in Windows, Computer hardware, printers, and office. Experience required: Experience working in a large organization with a diverse computing environment. Healthcare environment preferred but educational and business settings will be considered. Must possess knowledge of automated workstation deployments strategies using enterprise level technologies, understand Microsoft licensing as it relates to end-user computing, and have a strong understanding of cyber security concerns for end-user devices. Successful candidates will have experience as a mentor, educator, and collaborator.
