Utility Service Worker Shipping Receiving


This is a Full-time position in Charlotte, NC posted November 25, 2021.

Operator I
– Shipping/Receiving Pay-$17.49 with a .75 shift differential
HOURS: 7:00 a.m.

to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as necessary.

Work schedule subject to change according to business needs.
BASIC FUNCTION: Safely and efficiently ensure the prompt and correct shipment of orders to customers as specified on order form and verify incoming shipments of items purchased.

Duties include but are not limited to: -properly packing belts, accessory items or other materials to ensure they are not damaged during shipment -operating computer to produce accurate shipping label and determining appropriate postage or shipping charges -applying correct labels to appropriate boxes and making necessary arrangements to ship items according to customer’s request on order form (i.e.

UPS, Air or Federal Express) -loading and/or unloading outgoing and incoming shipments as necessary -verifying incoming shipments to ensure quantities and types of materials received agree to purchase orders -preparing receipt statements for incoming shipments -other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE: -Ability to work in a speedy and accurate manner.

-Satisfactory completion of required Forbo training programs, including operation of forklift.

-Must be able to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.

and maneuver rolls of belting material weighing up to 15000 lbs.

-Previous shipping/receiving or related experience helpful.

-Required training in proper shipping of hazardous materials and international shipments.

-Be able to recognize different material types and make sure that orders are accurate and complete.

-Must have good driving record and ability to safely operate the company truck (20 foot).

WORKING CONDITIONS INCLUDE: -Possible exposure to chemical vapors/odors -May be exposed to inclement weather (heat, cold, rain, etc.) -Ability to independently operate required equipment
Forklift experience is a plus!!!!!
