Building Automation Systems (BAS) Sales Consultant

Job Description Position summary: The BAS Sales Consultant is specifically to sell Building Automation Systems, BAS/Controls and Building Solutions through development of relationships with General Contractors, Mechanical Contractors, and MEP Firms, OR to utilize organizations current network of customers to establish projects directly with end-users in existing buildings. Work with the engineering community and building managers and owners to design and implement building automation projects. The BAS Sales Consultant is responsible for a combination of technical and sales activities. Position responsibilities: · To meet and exceed monthly and annual sales objectives assigned by the VP of Sales through aggressively developing new sales opportunities within the North Carolina Market. · Execute the sales process to aid in cultivating and managing long-term relationships and in seeking out, qualifying, and closing new sales opportunities. · Seek to expand the depth and breadth of offerings within sales accounts. Controls, Mechanical and Energy. · Demonstrates technical knowledge and a solution that matches the customers’ project challenge, to provide value to the customer and favorably position with CCAC. · Addresses customer’s operational and environmental objectives, needs and requirements. · Effectively writes, presents, and communicates project scope to customer and installation team. · Collaborate and partner with our internal Project Design Engineers. Communicate the vision of the project and work closely on specifications throughout the design phase. · Maintain a professional presentation both in appearance, in written and verbal communication. Essential skills, knowledge, and experience: · Bachelor’s degree preferred. · 5-7 years of industry related sales experience preferred. · A track record of consistently achieving quota required. · Strong Knowledge of HVAC systems, temperature controls, sales & operations. · Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization. · Ability to build rapport and strengthen relationships with new and existing customers. · Strong problem-solving ability. · Organized with an attention to detail. · Ability to work as part of a team. · Ability to give presentations in front of various groups. · Comprehensive understanding of CRM’s and sales reporting. · Knowledge of MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint). This includes heat/cold and humidity. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
