Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
Required Education: Associates Degree in Respiratory Care OR Completion of Respiratory Care
Program Accredited by Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care
(CoARC)
Preferred Education: Associates Degree in Respiratory Care OR Completion of Respiratory Care
Program Accredited by Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care
(CoARC) and 20 years of experience
Required License: Registered by NBRC; a current North Carolina License issued by North Carolina
Respiratory Care Board (NCRCB) and a current BCLS.
Preferred License: ACLS, PALS, NRP (Pediatric-Perinatal Specialty)
Required Experience: None
Preferred Experience: 2 Years Critical Care
Working Conditions: Attached
OSHA Category: Potential for exposure to blood or body fluids.
Patient Care Group: Neonate, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and the dying patient.
