The Office Manager manages a variety of office functions, including but not limited to clerical work, data maintenance, and department operations.

Establishes work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness of assigned operations.Manager will interact with university financial officers and accounting personnel and will be responsible for the process associated with account management including but not limited to: Payroll Accounting Adjustments, Cost Transfers, Business Expense Reimbursements, IDR’s, Purchase orders and other financial transactions associated with university processes.Manages the processing of IDRs, e-Checks, Expense Reports and CashPro check deposits.Prepares cost transfers to allocate expenses on the appropriate accounts for Equipment usage charges, Copier charges and Federal Express charges for all Department users on a quarterly basis.Prepares fund transfers/Journal Entries to the Office of Medical Finance to allocate funds to the respective accounts at fiscal-year end.Maintains complete confidentiality of all information associated with the job function.Primary liaison with Human Resources representative to ensure the timely processing all new hires, terminations, promotions, position changes and employee leaves for departmental staff.Manages employee records, serves as timekeeper for all staff, monitors key control and access card records for staff, faculty and students.Oversees space -facilities needs for department including initiating and coordinating facilities repairs, maintenance work orders and UMIT telecommunications needs.Prepares departmental travel requests and reimbursements for conferences and seminar speakers.Manages customer service, accounts payable, purchasing, and stockroom operations.Attends all required meetings and trainings pertaining to WORKDAY, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Disbursements, Effort Certification and Travel.Answers telephones, take messages, answers routine questions, and transfer calls to appropriate individuals.Resolve complex administrative problems independently.Participates in special assignments/projects as directed and performs other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Business or a closely related field of studyFive years of relevant experienceAbility to communicate effectively in both oral and written formAbility to maintain effective interpersonal relationshipsAbility to manage a budget and work within the constraints of that budgetAbility to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of othersAbility to process and handle confidential information with discretionProficiency in computer software (i.e.
