Our next CNA Training Program starts on May 22nd and goes for 5 weeks with a Monday to Friday commitment. A maximum of 8 hours can be missed during the 5 weeks of this class because the hours are mandated by the state of NC. You will be required to start two weeks in advance to ensure you will be admitted into the program without delay. You will be a patient safety attendant for those two weeks- the patient safety attendant shifts are 12 hours, 3 days a week. You must work for Mission Hospital fulltime for 5-6 weeks after completion of the course while waiting to take your exam. You must maintain a good standing in the patient safety attendant role in order to take the state exam. You must maintain an 80% or higher in the program to pass, if your grade goes below a 75% you may be dropped from the program.
At the end of the 5 weeks, you will be ready to test and become a CNA in NC. You will then have the opportunity to become a CNA at Mission Health and receive a sign on bonus. We will pay for your testing fees and you will receive a uniform stipendium.
You will go through the class as a Patient Safety Attendant and be paid during the course. The Patient Safety Attendant (PSA) participates in high-quality, patient-centered care by providing continuous observation and monitoring for high risk patients. In collaboration with the patient care team, the PSA ensures the patient environment is free of obstacles and minimizes risk of falls and accidental or intentional self-harm. The PSA may also assist with basic activities of daily living.
Interviews for our next CNA Training Program will be held in early April. A recruiter will reach out once an application has been submitted on how to schedule a time.
This is a highly competitive program and we are only able to accept 10 of the many interested candidates. Because of this, we cannot reschedule your interview once it is set up. Attending the interview day is the only way to be considered for a spot in the cohort, no exceptions will be made.
