Our cutting edge campus features a therapeutic clinic and a non-public school, serving preschool through high school.

We recently expanded our campus to include a 26,000 square foot clinic building with additional therapy space, vocational training spaces, community skills labs (mock doctor, dentist, barber, shopping), and a mini-apartment for independent living skills practice!Job Summary:Provide therapy and counseling services to individuals diagnosed with autism and/or their family members.

Must be comfortable with a primary population of children and adolescents, but also experience and knowledge of working with families and adults.

Duties also include completing Comprehensive Clinical Assessments and depending on licensure conducting other assessments and testing.Key Responsibilities:Conduct clinical intakes and evaluations.Provide therapy to individuals with autism and/or their family members.Counseling services may be delivered in the clinic or via telehealth.Develop treatment plans, complete service notes, prepare written assessments and complete other clinical and billing documentation as needed and in accordance with agency policy and payer requirements.Maintain a client caseload of 30-32 direct client hours per week.Provide clinical services in accordance with accepted guidelines for treatment, and agency policies and procedures.LPAs will also conduct psychological assessments and testing including the following: Autism Diagnostic Observations Schedule (ADOS-2),Vineland Scale of Adaptive Behaviors (Vineland-3), Autism Diagnostic Interview (ADI-R), and Childhood Autism Rating Scales (CARS-2).Model standards of professional and ethical behaviors to all staff, including the implementation of all ABC of NC policies and procedures.Serve on interdisciplinary teams, as needed, with all staff including the psychologist, LPA, program supervisors, and specialized staff (e.G.

speech/language pathologist, occupational therapist, etc.).Provide clinical oversight/supervision to assigned programs/staff as appropriate based on licensure and scope of practice.Assist psychologist and practice manager with implementation of policies and procedures, including client and employee policies and other policies and procedures as needed.Provide relevant training to staff and interns.Work constructively and cooperatively with professionals from other organizations (e.G.

school district personnel, speech/language pathologists, case managers, etc.).Participate in continuing education activities within and outside of ABC of NC and stay abreast of current research in the field of autism treatment/education and maintain applicable licensures and accreditations as appropriate.Attend and contribute to staff and other organizational meetings.Develop and/or refine ABC of NC Autism Clinic programs/services and written materials to serve the current market.Perform administrative duties as outlined by the Policies and Procedures Manual.Monitor ABC of NC’s HIPAA compliance standards.Physical Requirements:1.

Must be able to observe and move with children in natural environments (e.G.

school and outside or in community and on peer dates).2.

Must be able to type on a computer keyboard.Qualifications (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills):1.

Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or human service field; experience working withindividuals, couples, and families; experience working withindividuals with autism spectrum disorder.2.

Must have Current NC licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) or Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA).3.

Knowledge of child development and/or childhood clinical psychology and applied behavior analysis.4.

Exceptional communication skills, including writing/oral presentation and listening skills.5.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.6.

Computer skills including strong Word skills and basic Excel skills, and working in EHR/EMR systems.7.

Pass a criminal background check.8.

Must be fun, upbeat, energetic and creative.9.

Present a professional physical appearance according to employee guidelines.10.

Bilingual preferred ideally, the ability to understand and to make one’s self understood to all Spanish speaking individuals.
