Senior Accountant and Auditor

Norton Collar Lund Lilley, PLLC is looking for a full-time senior accountant and auditor to join our growing CPA practice. We provide tax compliance, audit, attest, and accounting consulting services to business entities, not-for-profits, and individuals.

For years, Norton Collar Lund Lilley, PLLC has been providing quality, personalized financial guidance to local individuals and businesses. Norton Collar Lund Lilley, PLLC’s expertise ranges from basic tax management and accounting services to more in-depth services such as audits, financial statements, and financial planning.

This position is for a professional working in our audit and accounting department. The successful candidate will be career-minded, strive to continuously build knowledge and skill for themselves and for the firm, and show initiative by volunteering and taking on increased responsibilities. A valid CPA license is preferred, but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

– Facilitate audit, review, and compilation engagements with clients by being the ‘in-charge’ lead.

– Research audit and accounting authority to support positions on audit, review, and compilations concepts.

– Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to find solutions to challenging situations.

– Take initiative to go the extra mile for our clients and co-workers.

– Respond timely, professionally, and courteously to inquiries from clients, co-workers, managers, partners, and other business contacts.

– Work closely with audit partner, audit manager, and accounting manager to determine best solutions for clients.

– Assist managers in explaining concepts to less-experienced staff.

– Interact positively within a team and communicate with all co-workers to get projects completed accurately and on time.

– Provide accurate, timely, and quality results to clients.

Qualifications and Requirements:

– 4 Year Accounting Degree required with CPA Certification or candidate preferred.

– Preferred public accounting experience.

– Excellent oral and written communication skills.

– Thrives in a deadline-driven environment.

– Has the capability to navigate workloads while remaining organized.

– Excellent technology skills and experience with Microsoft Excel, Adobe PDF and QuickBooks.

– Solid organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple assignments.

– Customer-service oriented.

– Detail oriented.
