Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB) provides financial services to 21 million retail bank households and three million small business customers through approximately 4,900 retail branches, 17 customer service centers, and approximately 13,000 ATMs in 36 states and the District of Columbia. Consumer Data and Engagement Platforms (CDEP) works across the CSBB, Consumer Lending, and Wealth and Investment Management lines of business to develop coordinated strategies for growth in each of Wells Fargo’s customer segments. The team is responsible for designing seamless, engaging customer experiences across products and channels, and building the next-generation digital, data and analytics, and functional capabilities required to deliver toward these objectives. 

The Marketing Sciences team has a unique and exciting opportunity for an Analytics Consultant to support the Branch Banking Channel. This role is part of the broader team, which provides insights to inform our business/customer marketing strategy as well as our broader Wells Fargo strategic initiatives, and identify new growth and profitability opportunities. 

The Branch Banking Channel team also provides the delivery of the following solution.

  • In-channel program performance monitoring, measurement, deep dives and optimization. 
  • In-Channel offer optimization
  • Customer engagement development
  • In-channel audience development

This position will support the analytics required for the CEE (Customer Engagement Engine) Personalization program and key responsibilities will include:

  • Analytics to define the eligible population and conversation KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for conversation topics. 
  • Forecast expected customer engagement and conversion rates
  • Estimate conversation value (i.e. Financial Value of the conversation and customer engagement value of the conversation)
  • Work with Data team to integrate eligible population into data processes and validate the data integration
  • Develop reporting/tracking requirements for new conversations within CEE
  • Work with Reporting BI (Business Intelligence) team to integrate new conversation tracking
  • Establish review process for conversation KPI monitoring
  • Provide measurement readouts on conversation performance
  • Provide actual vs. expected value contribution of conversation value impacts
  • Perform ad-hoc studies to understand drivers of conversation performance
  • Analyze and provide recommendations for conversation optimization, adjustments to performance expectations and conversation targets
  • Provide support and analytics for new conversation ideation and development
  • Formulate and answer strategic questions using rigorous analytics while developing a clear, simple, and compelling story to influence program managers/senior management and gain buy-in.
  • Utilize knowledge of the business, customers, and products to synthesize results and ‘form a story’.
  • Prepare and deliver thoughtful and impactful presentations to business partners that will drive future strategies.   
  • Document the requirements and scope for analytics projects and build a project plan to deliver them independently.
  • Work closely with the Branch Banking Marketing and other partner teams to support all aspects of the CEE Personalization program.
  • Proactively manage issues and project risks.
  • Bring a consulting, solution, and servicing mindset to our business partners

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling demonstrated through work or military experience; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Strong ability to retrieve data from various information systems
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in data analysis to inform learning strategy focused on performance outcomes

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
